No idea is too big for this large-scale, multi-faceted venue that can easily adapt to whatever your event demands.
Give your vision the space it needs to come to life. With multiple on-site facilities—including a 255,000-square-foot Exhibition Hall and 29 acres of beautiful outdoor space—Madison, Wisconsin’s incredibly versatile Alliant Energy Center is well-suited for conventions, conferences, meetings, banquets, consumer showcases, agricultural shows, outdoor festivals and concerts—to name only a few.
“One of the things that really makes Alliant Energy Center unique is the diversity we have on the campus,” says Mark Clarke, Executive Director of Alliant Energy Center. “There’s really not a type of event that we can’t host here.” From the annual CrossFit Games to World Dairy Expo, Madison’s Alliant Energy Center campus is no stranger to large, multi-day, high-traffic events. In fact, that’s their specialty. Here are three reasons why it might be exactly the venue you’ve been looking for.
Location, Location
Madison’s central location makes it easily accessible from all over the United States, with non-stop flights available from NYC, Atlanta, San Francisco and more. Once your attendees arrive, they’ll also find that Alliant Energy Center sits just one mile from Madison’s vibrant and walkable downtown area—placing plenty of local shops, dining, nightlife and post-convention fun within easy reach.
Flexible Space
Spread out over 164 acres, the Alliant Energy Center campus is made up of five distinct venues: Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Exhibition Hall, New Holland Pavilions, Arena and the outdoor Willow Island. Ranging in size from 22,000 square feet to 290,000 square feet, each indoor venue can easily be tailored to your event’s needs. Hosting an agricultural show? The 290,000 square-foot New Holland Pavilions have everything you need. A large conference with multiple exhibitors? The Exhibition Hall can hold up to 650 exhibit booths. And with two picturesque ponds, limestone walkways and 29 acres of natural green space, Willow Island was made for outdoor festivals and one-of-a-kind corporate celebrations.
All in One Place
“The Alliant Energy Center staff will share your passion for your event as if it were their own,” says Megan Hanuszczak, Executive Director of the Midwest Horse Fair, which has been held at Alliant Energy Center since 1979. The dedicated and experienced team makes planning your event as stress-free as possible. In-house catering by Centerplate takes care of all food and beverage, while the more than 5,800 paved parking spots ensure there is space for everyone. Another bonus? Your attendees won’t have to go far to recharge for the next day of meetings. Clarion Suites is directly connected to the Exhibition Hall by a climate-controlled walkway, and there are plenty of other supporting hotels located just off the Alliant Energy Center campus.
