No, our buildings, including the Coliseum retain
their original names. Only the campus name has changed. The Alliant
Energy Center encompasses all the buildings on our 164 acre grounds.
Each building has retained its name as a separate identity.

There is no Expo Hall or Expo Center. There is an
Exhibition Hall and this is usually the

The Alliant Energy Center of Dane County is owned
and operated by the County of Dane. The naming rights were sold to
Alliant Energy Corporation, but they do not operate the facilities.
How does the Alliant Energy Center operate? How is it funded?
Although owned and operated by the County, the
Alliant Energy Center operates without the use of County general fund
monies - it is run as a business using facility generated revenues to
cover the personnel, operating, maintenance and capital expenses
incurred to operate the Center and its facilities. The Center has
operated in this manner since 1990.
