At the intersection of John Nolen Drive and Rimrock Road just off the South Beltline Hwy (Hwys 12 & 18). Use either the Rimrock Road or John Nolen Drive exits off the Beltline.  You may want to view our maps and directions.

Where can I find out about upcoming events at the Coliseum and Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center?

  • You can check out the events listing on our website.
  • Locally, you can listen to the radio broadcast on WIBA-AM 1310 on Saturdays between 5:30AM and 6:00AM or listen to WTDY 1670-AM during the 4PM and 6PM hours on Wednesdays.

Where can tickets be obtained for most concerts held in the Coliseum or Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center?

  • At the Coliseum’s Ticket Center (located in the West Lobby of the Veterans Memorial Coliseum at the Alliant Energy Center).
  • All Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster’s Charge-by-phone or through Ticketmaster’s website
  • Tickets for those with special needs are available by calling 608-267-3995.

Where can I buy advance tickets for consumer events at the Alliant Energy Center?

Tickets are usually available at the door for these types of events. Check our website event listing for links to individual show sites where information on advance tickets sales (if applicable) are generally found.

Has the Veterans Memorial Coliseum been renamed the Alliant Energy Center?

No, our buildings, including the Coliseum retain their original names. Only the campus name has changed. The Alliant Energy Center encompasses all the buildings on our 164 acre grounds. Each building has retained its name as a separate identity.

Where is the Expo Hall or Expo Center on the Alliant Energy Center grounds?

There is no Expo Hall or Expo Center. There is an Exhibition Hall and this is usually the building people are asking about.

What is the parking fee for events at the Alliant Energy Center?

$5.00 per car per day; $15.00 per bus per day

Is smoking in the facilities or tailgating permitted in the parking lots of the Alliant Energy Center?

No, both smoking in the facilities and tailgating violate County ordinances and are subject to fine.

There are over 500 events held at the Alliant Energy Center ever year, attracting approximately 1 million visitors.

Does Alliant Energy Corporation own or operate the Center?

The Alliant Energy Center of Dane County is owned and operated by the County of Dane. The naming rights were sold to Alliant Energy Corporation, but they do not operate the facilities.

How does the Alliant Energy Center operate? How is it funded?

Although owned and operated by the County, the Alliant Energy Center operates without the use of County general fund monies - it is run as a business using facility generated revenues to cover the personnel, operating, maintenance and capital expenses incurred to operate the Center and its facilities. The Center has operated in this manner since 1990.
