Available Event Facilities

The Alliant Energy Center is much more then just a stand alone events center. In fact, it is an entire campus of event venues that covers 164 acres of land in the gateway to downtown Madison, Wisconsin. The Center has five primary venue sites that are home to a variety of events throughout the year:

Veterans Memorial Coliseum – This is an entertainment facility. It hosts a variety of shows such as professional sports events, horse shows, concerts, large assemblies and stage performances. The facility also provides trade show space for up to 360 exhibit booths.

Exhibition Hall – This is a 255,000-square-foot trade show and convention facility. It has up to 100,000 square feet of unobstructed exhibit space and 14 meeting rooms. Exhibition Hall is perfect for consumer shows of all sizes, banquets, meetings, conferences, conventions and more. With our portable seating risers, Exhibition Hall is also great for sporting events and concerts for up to 4,500 people. 

Willow Island – This 29-acre nature area includes two ponds and an isthmus for outdoor events including corporate picnics, festivals and musical entertainment.

Arena – This smaller entertainment and conference facility can be used for performances, consumer shows and more. The Arena building also serves as an outstanding facility for horse shows with an 85' x 215' show ring.

Agricultural Exhibit Buildings – This site includes nine buildings with over 800 modern horse stalls and an exercise corral.

Convenient Midwest Location

Madison is located in the heart of South Central Wisconsin and is accessible via the Madison International Airport and several major highways. The Center is less then a two-hour drive from Milwaukee, less then a three-hour drive from Chicago and less then five hours by car from Minneapolis, making Madison an ideal meeting point for a midwest event, trade show or convention. The event center itself has over 5,800 paved and lit parking stalls onsite as well as an attached Clarion Suites Hotel with a climate controlled walkway to the Exhibition Hall.  For more information on our location including maps and driving directions click here.
